This is not a trade report, but emotions and thoughts during this trade. i need to write down all these before this trade is over, i will forget about all these after this trade. felt uncomfortable with this trade as all my previous entry signals are all gone, exits signal are all showing instead. might exit this trade with break even if the price do go there.
this morning i woke up, took a look at all the pairs and only found one that is nice.
so i shorted it, looks good. i went to bath and came out i had about +10 pips in the money. but when i reached office, i saw USD going crazy again, went up about 30 pips.
i did not hit my sl yet so now the trade is still on going. lucky for me i did not chase prices early in the morning, i waited for the right price. if not i would most likely got stop out with loss. i am currently about -10 pips and i notice some exit signal already, Hull turn blue, thick green GRBB showing, all the asian markets are going up. the previous entry signal that i saw are all gone, maybe thats why my backtesting results is so good. mmmmm.. should i close? with -10 pips or should i just leave it? i am not sure myself. i going against TNT again with his trade, TNT people are long and i am short. don't forget that TNT is 80% win, that means my trade only 20% win chance. this is only my fifth trade doing forward testing, if i lose i will know next time to get out early, if i win next time i will just leave it.should i trust my system or should i just leave the market to decide for me? well seriously i dunno! sure sounds just like my system! yeah!
ok trade closed, hit my SL, well in future i will closed my trades if the same thing happen. 5 trades, 4 win, 1 lost. still going strong, for this losing trade i had learnt 2 vauable lessons whick i will take note of in my future trades.
lose the money but never lose the lesson! getting ready for next trade!
reflections for this trade
firstly before entering this trade, i noticed one of the trade filtering signal but decided to take the risk and went in.
secondly, i noticed the exit signal for a manual exit. but i ignore them and continue with the trade.
so lesson learnt.
do not go in a trade if not comfortable
exit manually without waiting if trade exit signal appears.
i might discovered something with price movement among the curriences, need to go back to my lab to test it out. let see what are the lab test results. excited!
